About Brian

I came to chiropractic mid-career, and this decision was driven by my desire to help people, and make a positive difference in their lives. Although I enjoyed a successful career prior to embarking on my journey into chiropractic medicine, like so many of us, I felt something was missing.

I knew I needed more than just to make a living; I needed to make a difference in people’s lives. And, as is often the case, once I committed to that path, Providence (to paraphrase a famous quote) seemed to move too. Since then, I’ve had the good fortune to assist and be mentored by the late (and incredible) osteopath Dr. Viola Frymann in San Diego, and have since both partnered with and learned from a number of leading practitioners in the field.

These remarkable opportunities not only expanded my technical expertise, but in many ways broadened my thinking and approach to chiropractic and manual medicine. I began to envision new ways to apply time-tested techniques and solve challenges often thought to be out of the realm of traditional chiropractic medicine. One example of this, and one that has been especially fulfilling, was the successful development of a new, proprietary and treatment protocol that has proven very effective in restoring range of motion and, perhaps most importantly, quality of life in post-mastectomy patients.

Technologies, tools, and techniques are constantly evolving.  These advances enable me to effectively treat an ever-widening range of ailments, from injuries to post-surgical recovery.  I actively remain at the forefront of the latest approaches which currently include both radial and focused Shockwave therapies (EPAT®, ESWT), Extracorporeal Magnetotransduction Therapy (EMTT®), instrument assisted manual techniques, such as Graston®, new Sports Chiropractic techniques and Spinal Decompression therapies, just to name a few.

These tools and techniques, often used in tandem, provide me with an effective non-invasive means of successfully treating musculoskeletal pain, injuries and chronic conditions with far greater targeting accuracy, efficiency and efficacy than every before.

In addition, these tools and techniques enable me to measurably improve sports performance, whether for professional tennis players, golfers, or weekend warriors who just want a competitive edge.

As always, the bottom line is this: if you are in any sort of pain or discomfort, or suspect that some physical ailment is keeping you from feeling and being the best you can be, please contact me for an initial consultation. I am truly here to help and heal, and I look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,

Dr. Brian Nathanson, DC
