ESWT

Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy

ESWT is a far more focused type of shockwave therapy which effectively targets a smaller focal point for greater accuracy and at much deeper (up to 12cm) treatment depth.  Unlike EPAT®, ESWT provides all of its power at the designated depth and location of treatment. Generated electromagnetically via a cylindrical coil, this non-invasive therapy results in increased cell metabolism, tissue regeneration, and the postulation of growth factors. In addition, it promotes angiogenesis, or the development of new blood vessels from pre-existing vasculature, resulting in in a faster and more efficient healing process.

As a focused therapy, ESWT is remarkably effective for acute injuries, knee and joint arthritis, stress fractures, erectile dysfunction, shin splints, groin and achilles pain and otyher ailments.

It is important to note that a combination of radial (EPAT®) and focused (ESWT shockwave therapy often yields exceptional results when used in tandem as part of a treatment protocol for appropriate conditions).
